Leila - Feastivities Events is an internationally recognized, award winning catering and event planning company that brings a unique event experience to both social and corporate clients. We are an off premise caterer, that not only specializes in extraordinary cuisine but also event design and execution.
As lead wedding planner for Feastivities Events, my main focus is weddings at the premiere off premise venues in the Philadelphia area such as Cairnwood Mansion, Greystone Hall & Appleford. Having such successful client relationships has enabled me to capture repeat clients with corporate & non profit events.
ISES Phila - What was the event that you won your Liberty Award (please describe your role)?
-
Leila - Spring Vintage Wedding: The first task of this wedding was to find the right venue, music, food & colors to bring the couples vision of Spring Vintage to life. Working closely with the couple we were able to achieve a wonderful end result.
Cairnwood Mansion was the idyllic vintage setting for this wedding. Designed by Carrére and Hastings, in the Beaux Arts style , the venue offered multiple rooms and outdoor terraces with open seating for the guests to effortlessly move around while mingling with one another.
The Rockabilly band was a fresh twist of music that energized the arriving guests with an electrifying blend of the driving guitar licks, standup bass slap and heavy snare drum backbeat.
The stations style menu, which replaced the traditional seated dinner, offered an ample variety of tempting items. Passed hors d’oeuvres, gourmet cheeses & Pear Martinis kicked off the celebration! To indulge the guests further, the dinner stations offered Pad Thai, Crab Cakes & Flank Steak. To top the evening off with perfection, the bride’s favorite Bananas Foster.
Each room had it’s own look and feel, all the while staying within the Spring Vintage decor. The tables were draped with a variety of linens including shades of Chocolate, Turquoise & Pale Green.
The flow of the evening felt natural all night; there was not one point where guests had to ask themselves, “What do I do now?” That is a success to me!
